Top 1%, that's me.

Following the special on dwarfism on tv tonight was a special on the world's tallest people. The average height of the American male is 5'10" and the female 5'6". Only 1% of the male population is above 6'3" and female population is 5'10" or taller.

That puts me in the top 1%.

I found out all kinds of interesting things. I could belong to a tall people's club and enter special tall people beauty pageants. While I don't think I will be doing any of the these things it did remind me of the fact, I am tall. The show talked about physical and social difficulties of being tall (I don't think that I am socially retarded). I have been told that I am too tall to date on a couple of occasions, but then again, I thought they were too shallow.

I like being tall...except when I need to buy new pants.
