One more reason to get excited about Iowa football

Mitch King.

Well, ok, maybe I am a little biased since he is from my hometown, but ESPN is pretty high on him, too. He was recently ranked #3 defensive tackle in the nation in the preseason Herbie awards. Stormin' Norm Parker is also pretty jazzed up about #47 as well. At the I-Club banquet he said that when MK's motor is running there is no one in the nation that can stop him.

Needless to say, I am excited to watch him play tomorrow and watch him throughout the season.

Also, a congrats to his sister Reagan and her husband Nick who will be expecting Beckett James, their first little blond haired blue eyed beauty(well, he has to be a stunner if he looks anything like either of his parents) in 11 more weeks. Hopefully, I will get a chance to hang out with them for a little bit tomorrow, too!

On Iowa, GO HAWKS!

Is this Heaven? No, it's Oreo Cakesterville.

Oreo cakesters are AMAZING. So good, I want to carry a box around with me at all times and just hand them out to people.

I was quite hesitant about this product when I first saw it, because I thought it would just taste like a soggy Oreo. I have serious issues with soggy foods, so I refused to try them. Then, my brother and I were digging through the cupboards at my grandpa's house when we found a box of them and decided to try them. Well, we were both immediately addicted. It was so bad that we were eating a package of them in the car on the way home from the hospital one day and were scraping the crumbs out of the package.

I saw them at the grocery store the other day and had to turn and walk away, because I would just want to eat them. I think I am going to give everyone I know boxes of them for Christmas this year. If you haven't tried them yet, do. IF you try them and don't like them, I can't ever talk to you again.

crunchy leaves

As much as I love summer, I am so excited for fall. I love fall for college football and tailgating and sweaters and hoodies and jeans and crunchy leaves and bonfires.
